Air India welcomes its third line-fit Boeing 787-9 aircraft to the fleet

Air India, welcomes VT-AWC, its third line-fit Boeing 787-9 aircraft, to its fleet. The aircraft completed a non-stop journey of 17 hours and 14 minutes from Boeing’s facility in Charleston and landed in Delhi on 4 July 2026.

The factory-fresh aircraft marks another milestone in Air India’s fleet modernisation journey and features a three-class cabin configuration with 30 Business Class suites, 28 Premium Economy seats, and 238 Economy seats. The aircraft is equipped with state-of-the-art interiors, including Thales’ AVANT Up inflight entertainment system, offering customers an enhanced long-haul travel experience.
