J&K administration urges Amarnath Pilgrims to adhere to registered travel dates

The Jammu & Kashmir Administration has advised pilgrims undertaking the Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra 2026 to travel strictly on the date mentioned in their registration permits. The advisory has been issued to ensure smooth management of the annual pilgrimage, maintain regulated pilgrim movement, and uphold safety protocols amid a large influx of devotees arriving in the Union Territory.

Authorities have emphasised that only pilgrims holding valid registration for their allotted travel date will be permitted to proceed towards the holy cave shrine. Devotees have been requested not to begin their journey in advance of their scheduled date, as regulated movement is essential for crowd management, security arrangements, and logistical coordination throughout the pilgrimage.

Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha appealed to pilgrims to cooperate with the administration and comply with the established registration system to ensure a safe and orderly pilgrimage. Officials have also urged unregistered pilgrims to defer their journey until they obtain valid registration, reiterating that these measures are intended to safeguard the interests of all devotees participating in the Yatra.

The administration continues to coordinate with the Shri Amarnath Ji Shrine Board, security agencies, and various government departments to facilitate a seamless pilgrimage experience. Travel operators, tour organisers, and pilgrims have been encouraged to follow official advisories and plan their travel in accordance with the allotted registration schedule to avoid inconvenience.
