ATOAI Women’s Collective launches a photography contest on Instagram

The ATOAI Women’s Collective, the first and only women’s collective that represents all women adventurers in India, is launching a photography contest on Instagram under the theme “Celebrating Women in Travel and the Great Outdoors”.

The contest is open to the general public and each participant can enter up to five (05) original photos taken by themselves. Keeping with the theme, the images need to capture the story of women in the travel, hospitality, and adventure sectors. The contest starts on November-18, 2021  and the last date of submission is November-26, 2021. The winners will be announced on November-30, 2021. More details of the contest are available at ATOAI’s Instagram page: @atoaiexplore.

The contest will be judged by an eminent panel of four professional and passionate photographers – Ashok Dilwali, veteran Himalayan landscape photographer, author, and recipient of the Lifetime Achievement Award in the 7th National Photography Awards in 2019; Aditya Arya, travel photographer and visual historian, best known today as the Founder and Director of Museo Camera, the world-class museum in Gurgaon that showcases both, the art and science of photography; Ajay Jain, traveler, photographer, author, speaker, entrepreneur and the man behind the unique Kunzum Travel Café and Moushumee K Jha, freelance documentary photographer and an accomplished photo artist well known for sensitive story-telling through her keen sense of light, frame and angles. “We are delighted to have such an eminent panel for our photography contest and we hope to see some amazing entries that will delight the entire travel and adventure community,” says Arshdeep Anand, President of the ATOAI Women’s Collective.

In keeping with the theme of the contest, the prizes on offer are adventure holidays and experiences specially curated by ATOAI members and include three night’s stay for two at Banjara Camp in Sangla Valley, Himachal Pradesh; a two night’s stay for two in an estate bungalow at Teat Town Wayanad, Kerala, a one night stay for two in Delhi’s most sought after adventure center, Camp Wild at Aravali Valley (Dhauj) and a 1-night stay for two at the iconic Bull’s Camp Pahadi, Aravali.

After a hugely successful workshop on Gender Sensitization, this contest is yet another endeavour by ATOAI Women’s Collective to put the spotlight on women’s adventures, entrepreneurs, and those working in the travel industry and the great outdoors.
