IATO paves the way for ‘Brand India- The Road to recovery’

At the Interactive Luncheon Meeting hosted on 18 November, IATO spilled some beans on the 36th IATO Annual Convention, being held in Gandhinagar, Gujarat from 16 to 19, December 2021 at The Leela Gandhinagar.

Shri Hareet Shukla, Secretary Tourism, Govt. of Gujarat was present at the event and invited the members to the state of Gujarat. He says, “Gujarat has developed an array of tourism products in the last few years and we’re very excited to showcase them to the members. Gandhinagar and Ahmedabad are the major tourist destinations but along with that there are going to be 6 post-convention tours, which will give members an opportunity to explore Gujarat in real.”

Rajiv Mehra, President, IATO shares, “A new renewed opportunity to start business, converge on networking, the opportune time as borders are opening up, deliberating on the theme Brand India- The Road to recovery and the befitting business sessions on diverse strategic topics that address the SWOT to recovery. Members will be exposed to the policy discussions by the state governments thereby enabling them to chalk out their region-specific strategies.”

IATO annual convention will be the platform that will rebuild confidence amongst the tourism industry delegates that we’re on the road towards normalcy.

Rajnish Kaistha, Hony. Secretary, IATO, asserts, “We had our last convention in Gujarat in 2011 and now there are plenty of new tourism products to explore. Besides the main theme, the business sessions attempt to dwell on an in-depth analysis of the plan of action to recovery, other pertinent issues and other facets. Onsite visits at the tourist destinations of Gujarat will add to the productivity and promotion.”
