IndiGo’s flights to Almaty have been approved by DGCA

According to reports, IndiGo’s ambitions to launch its services to Almaty in Kazakhstan have received approval from the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), signalling the airline’s aspirational global expansion.

According to sources, the DGCA has given the go-ahead for IndiGo to begin operating flights between Delhi and Almaty on September 5 of 2023.

Additionally, it emphasised the airline’s intention to start service on the Mumbai-Nairobi route this week.

The airline had previously declared its intention to run flights to six foreign locations, including Nairobi (Kenya), Jakarta (Indonesia), Tbilisi (Georgia), Baku (Azerbaijan), Tashkent (Uzbekistan), and Almaty (Kazakhstan).

Additionally, it has been claimed that the airline has lately received preliminary authorisation from the aviation watchdog to import 500 A320 neo family aircraft.
