Industry veterans from TAFI meet the Finance Secretary to discuss TCS

Its been a month since the Union Budget was released granting the tourism industry the scope of growth amongst others. The discussions around the hike in TCS are still floating the grounds. Industry veterans from the Travel Agents Federation of India (TAFI) led by Mr Ajay Prakash, Mr Anil Kalsi, Mr Ankush Nijhawan and Mr Rajiv Aggarwal along with Shri Vivek Shejwalkar—Member of Parliament met with the Finance Secretary Dr T.V. Somanathan at the Ministry of Finance in New Delhi.

The long discussion came to a fruitful and constructive end, resulting in the Finance Secretary making a note of the issues raised by the delegates and the suggestions put forth by them. The industry is all set for tourism to step up and drive in ‘Mission Mode’.
