World Photography Day: Switzerland’s Golden Season captured through the Lens

Switzerland is one destination that brings out the true-blue photographer in each of us. In just a day surrounded by its beautiful vistas and locales, you can turn into a pro shutterbug. The fall season from September to the end of November, though, is a very special time of the year, when the country really plays to the gallery! It is a place that requires no filters and no touchups because the vibrant, bold hues of orange, red, golden, and yellow provide the perfect frame against a perfect backdrop — a view that both you and your camera can never say no to.

To give you a glimpse of just how this golden season of Autumn brings alive every nook and cranny of Switzerland, here are some of our favorite snapshots that will take your breath away:

  1. Autumn Along the Grand Tour of Switzerland

The Grand Tour of Switzerland is a 1,000-mile scenic route that takes you through some of the country’s most mesmerizing landscapes. The best time to experience this region in all its glory is in the fall. Go on a long drive to really soak in and enjoy both the warmth and the view!
  2. Interlaken

The best time to visit the Adventure Capital of the country is the hiking season from September to November which coincides with the fall season. The weather is not too hot nor too cold making it ideal for a trek up in the mountains or in the vibrant forests set ablaze with the colors of the season.

  3. Lake Geneva Region

A boat ride on the pristine, crystal clear Lake Geneva with views of vineyards, chateaus, and lush peaks, are stuff that dream holidays are made of! Doing this in the fall in Switzerland? Well, you can only imagine!
