Kailash Manasarovar Yatra 2026 opens for registration

The Ministry of External Affairs has officially announced the launch of the Kailash Manasarovar Yatra 2026, scheduled to take place between June and August 2026, in coordination with the Government of the People’s Republic of China. This year, a total of 20 batches will undertake the sacred pilgrimage, with 10 batches of 50 yatris each travelling via Uttarakhand through Lipulekh Pass, and another 10 batches of 50 yatris each via Sikkim through Nathu La Pass.

The official portal, kmy.gov.in, is now open for applications. The selection of yatris will be conducted through a fair, computer-generated, randomised process ensuring gender balance. The entire application and selection procedure is fully digitised, enabling applicants to register, submit forms, and track updates online without the need for any physical communication.

Applicants have the flexibility to choose either one route or both, indicating their preference. The platform also offers a feedback mechanism for queries, suggestions, and improvements related to the yatra process. The last date for submission of applications is May 19, 2026.
