Kenya records higher arrivals with Holidays being number one reason for travel

Tourism arrivals into Kenya continue to pick up closing at 31.5% increase in 2023 from 1,483,752 in 2022 to 1,951,185 last year.

The leading purpose of travel was holiday at 45%, whereas Visiting Family and Relatives (VFR) and Meetings, Incentives, Conferences and Exhibitions (MICE) followed at 24%.

Top five tourist sources markets were the United States of America (USA), Uganda, and United Republic of Tanzania, United Kingdom, and Indian visitors
