Kerela launches mass vaccination drive in tourism sector

Amidst concerns of yet-to-decline COVID-19 cases, the Kerala government has launched a mass drive to make the tourism destinations in the state ‘complete vaccinated zones’ by giving jabs to everyone working in the sector.

KTM Society in collaboration with the District Administration and the Health Department is organizing a mass vaccination drive for those in the tourism sector under the auspices of the Tourism Department. 

Organized as part of the revitalization drive, Mass Vaccination Drive will be inaugurated by Kochi Mayor M Anil Kumar and District Collector Jafar Malik on July 22 (Thursday) at 9:00 am at Maradu BTH Sarovaram.

 Vaccination drive will be held on July 22 and 23 in the district.

 The state-wide vaccination drive aims to provide vaccination to all in the tourism sector will transform tourism centres into fully vaccinated areas.

 Vaccination drive will be conducted in all districts of Kerala before 31st July 2021 for those in the tourism sector including tour operators, front line workers, tourism workers, hotels, restaurants, tourist taxi drivers, tour guides, houseboats, homestays and serviced villas.
