The TAFCA Cricket Championship 2025 was successfully held on 6 and 7 December at the Parth Republic Cricket Ground, Lucknow, in loving memory of Late Mohd. Shoeb, Founder President of the Travel Agents Fun Club Association (TAFCA).
The two-day tournament saw enthusiastic participation from eight teams representing leading travel and allied companies, including Akbar Travels, FSR Travels, Trip Jack, Olive Travels, Star Dream Cruises (with Yorker Holidays), Seeingo, Asego, and RDL Forex.
The final match was played between Akbar Travels and FSR Travels, with FSR Travels emerging as champions and lifting the coveted TAFCA Cricket Championship 2025 trophy.
Outstanding individual performances were recognised during the tournament. Faham, Captain of Akbar Travels, was named Player of the Tournament, while Fuzail won Best Batsman, Anurag Best Bowler, and Qumber Best Fielder.
The TAFCA Celebrity Cup 2025 was also held, featuring a match between the Celebrity XI led by Mr. Vineet Nayyar (Oman Air) and the President XI led by Mr. Gagan Gurnani. The Celebrity XI emerged victorious to win the cup.
As part of the Pride of UP Felicitation, TAFCA honoured distinguished personalities from the travel fraternity with the prestigious “Pride of UP” title. The awardees included Mr. Aveek Ghosh, Mr. A. H. Alvi, Mr. Sunil Satyawakta, Mr. Sukesh Bahadur, Mr. Haleem Mirza, Late Mohd. Shoeb, Late Rizwan Warsi, and Late Harish Gurnani. Honourees were presented with mementos and shawls, with family members receiving awards posthumously where applicable.
The championship concluded with an evening of celebrations, featuring a musical night and cocktail dinner hosted by Tirun Travel Marketing – Royal Caribbean Cruises.

TAFCA office bearers Mr. Gagan Gurnani (President), Mr. Farhan Warsi (Vice President), Mr. Aamir Nazar (Secretary), and Mr. Faisal Mobin (Treasurer) expressed their sincere gratitude to all members, sponsors, teams, and participants for their support in making the championship a grand success.
