TAFI North India warmly welcomes Uzbekistan’s decision to introduce a 30-day visa-free regime for Indian citizens, announces during the State Visit of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi to Uzbekistan.
The decision by President Shavkat Mirziyoyev is a significant step towards strengthening India-Uzbekistan relations and will give a major boost to tourism, travel, business and people-to-people exchanges between the two countries.
Mr. Dinesh Kummar, Chairman, TAFI North India, said, “This is a landmark decision for the Indian travel industry. Removing the visa barrier will make Uzbekistan significantly more attractive and accessible for Indian travellers. We see tremendous potential for growth in leisure tourism, family holidays, group travel, MICE and cultural tourism.”
He added, “Prime Minister Modi’s visit has further strengthened the close relationship between India and Uzbekistan, and this visa-free initiative is a welcome outcome that can translate into increased tourist arrivals, better air connectivity and new opportunities for travel agents and tourism stakeholders in both countries.”
