The Fern Hotels & Resorts has strengthened its South India expansion strategy with the signing of The Fern Eco Bliss Resort Moolakada, Series by Marriott, in Kerala. The new addition further expands the hospitality group’s footprint in the region, taking its portfolio of operational and upcoming properties in South India to 15 and its overall India portfolio to 190 hotels.
Located in Moolakada, Kerala, the upcoming resort is scheduled to open in June 2027 and will feature 116 rooms and suites designed to cater to both leisure and business travellers. The property will also offer an all-day dining restaurant, conference facilities, and banquet spaces to serve the growing demand for meetings, events, and social gatherings in the region.
The signing reflects The Fern’s continued focus on high-growth destinations across South India, where rising tourism demand, improved connectivity, and increasing interest in experiential travel are driving hospitality investments. Industry stakeholders believe Kerala remains one of India’s most attractive leisure markets, supported by its strong appeal across wellness, nature, and cultural tourism segments.
