Vietnam sets target of 17-18 million international visitors in 2024

Vietnam’s tourist industry brought in VND678 trillion ($27.8 billion) last year, with 12.6 million foreign visitors, or roughly 70% of pre-pandemic numbers, according to reports.

With 3.6 million visitors, South Korea accounted for the majority of the total, followed by China with 1.7 million.

Approximately 780,000 hotel rooms were available over 38,000 lodging establishments in the nation, with 247 five-star hotels providing roughly 81,000 rooms.

Vietnam has been promoting greater foreign direct investment and relaxing visa requirements in an effort to boost tourism.

The nation is also looking into opening other casinos where residents can play; the developer Sun Group is planning a facility in Van Don, which will follow the Corona Resort trial run in Phu Quoc.
