Ben Arpéa: When the Horizon Becomes Tangible

An Exceptional Setting for Contemporary Art
This season, the property presents the work of French contemporary artist Ben Arpéa. On view from now to 18 October 2026, the exhibition highlights the artist’s distinctive visual language, blending geometric abstraction with semi-figurative forms through vibrant color fields and richly textured compositions.
Inspired by the Mediterranean, architecture, landscapes and fleeting moments of daily life, Ben Arpéa’s works offer a vision of landscape and still life that feels both contemporary and dreamlike. Through his sensitive use of color and material, the artist belongs to a new generation exploring the dialogue between art, design and the French art de vivre.
Capturing the Invisible: Light, Silence, and Timeless Moments
For this exhibition, Ben Arpéa drew inspiration from the spirit of Château Saint-Martin & Spa, reinterpreting the property through his own artistic vocabulary. Remaining faithful to his pictorial universe, the artist captures quiet, suspended moments that appear almost untouched by time. While each work originates from a specific space within the Château Saint-Martin & Spa, the series seeks above all to evoke atmosphere: light, silence and subtle balance
Gautier Ferrero: An Invitation to Contemplation Between Art and Nature

Perched above the hills of Vence and overlooking the shimmering Mediterranean, Château Saint-Martin & Spa, an iconic Oetker Hotels property, provides an exceptional setting where elegance, nature and architectural heritage come together in a harmonious dialogue between artistic creation and breathtaking scenery.
The property is showcasing this season the creations of French contemporary artist Gautier Ferrero. On view until October 11, 2026, his work explores the circulation of energy, breath and emotion through colour, texture and organic compositions.
Born in Nice in 1983, Gautier Ferrero has developed an intuitive and deeply sensory artistic practice, nourished by his interest in philosophy, anthropology and Eastern spiritual traditions. Paintings, ceramics, collages and bronze sculptures form a poetic universe where nature, imagination and contemplation intertwine. Represented by Galerie Catherine Issert in Saint-Paul-de-Vence, the artist invites viewers into an experience that is both meditative and profoundly evocative.
Before dedicating himself fully to art, Gautier Ferrero earned a Master’s degree in Greek Philosophy from the Sorbonne, followed by a Master’s degree in Anthropology focused on Zen Buddhism at the University of Nice. He later pursued research into Hinduism before training at the Barcelona Academy of Art, where his artistic journey truly began.
