Kerala records strong revival in International Tourism

Kerala’s international tourism sector is witnessing a strong resurgence, with foreign tourist arrivals increasing by 11% in the latest reporting period. The state has also recorded tourism revenue of approximately ₹50,000 crore, with continued upward momentum indicating sustained growth in the sector.

This revival reflects Kerala’s strengthening position as one of India’s most sought-after global travel destinations, driven by its diverse offerings across nature, wellness, culture, and experiential tourism.

The increase in international arrivals signals renewed global interest in the state, supported by improved connectivity, enhanced tourism infrastructure, and targeted promotional efforts in key international markets.

Tourism authorities note that this growth is contributing significantly to the local economy, supporting livelihoods across hospitality, travel services, and allied industries. The positive trend also reinforces Kerala’s long-standing reputation as a premium destination in India’s inbound tourism landscape.

With continued investments in tourism infrastructure and global outreach, Kerala is expected to further strengthen its position as a leading hub for international travelers in the coming years.
