The Indian Association of Tour Operators (IATO) has strengthened its engagement with the Andhra Pradesh government ahead of its upcoming annual convention, with a senior delegation meeting Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu to formally invite him to attend the inaugural session of the association’s 41st Annual Convention. The event is scheduled to take place in Visakhapatnam from September 10–12, 2026.
Led by IATO President Ravi Gosain, the delegation discussed the significant tourism potential of Andhra Pradesh and highlighted the opportunities the convention will create for the state’s tourism industry, hospitality sector, local businesses, and travel trade stakeholders.
The convention is expected to bring together tourism leaders, policymakers, tour operators, hospitality professionals, and government representatives from across India. Industry observers believe the event will serve as a valuable platform for networking, business development, destination promotion, and policy discussions focused on the future growth of Indian tourism.
Hosted with the support of the Government of Andhra Pradesh, the convention will also feature business sessions, tourism showcases, and a Travel Mart aimed at facilitating partnerships between tourism boards, travel companies, and industry stakeholders. The event is expected to attract hundreds of delegates from across the country while showcasing Andhra Pradesh’s diverse tourism offerings.
