BEKIND strengthens presence in India with successful Three-City sales mission across South India

BEKIND, the hospitality company behind Meyyafushi Maldives and Fushifaru Maldives, has successfully concluded a strategic three-city sales mission across Bengaluru, Chennai, and Hyderabad, further strengthening its presence in one of its most significant source markets. The initiative underscored the brand’s commitment to cultivating stronger relationships with India’s travel trade while enhancing awareness of its two distinctive Maldivian island resorts.

The sales mission was led by Mr. Mohamed Didi (Max), Commercial Director, BEKIND, alongside Ms. Richa Bajaj, Director – Business Development, TAWI LUSH Pvt. Ltd., the appointed India Sales and PR representative for Meyyafushi Maldives and Fushifaru Maldives.

The roadshow commenced in Bengaluru with an exclusive luncheon co-hosted by Mr. M.L. Ananthraman of 7 Oceans, bringing together leading travel professionals, luxury travel advisors, and industry partners. Guests were introduced to the unique offerings of Meyyafushi Maldives and Fushifaru Maldives through an engaging presentation highlighting the resorts’ distinctive accommodation experiences, exceptional culinary concepts, wellness offerings, curated excursions, and personalised guest experiences.

Building on this momentum, the delegation continued its engagements in Chennai and Hyderabad through a series of focused sales calls, one-on-one partner meetings, curated networking luncheons, and comprehensive resort presentations. These interactions provided an ideal platform to deepen product knowledge, strengthen existing trade relationships, and identify new opportunities for collaboration with key travel partners across South India.

One of the key highlights of the Hyderabad visit was a strategic meeting with representatives from IndiGo ahead of the airline’s planned launch of direct flights between Hyderabad and Malé from December 2026. The enhanced air connectivity is expected to significantly improve accessibility to the Maldives for travellers from South India while creating new opportunities for the region’s outbound leisure market.

Speaking on the successful roadshow, Mohamed Didi (Max), Cluster Commercial Director, BEKIND Hotels & Resorts, said, “India is among our fastest-growing source markets, and South India holds real promise for both Fushifaru Maldives and Meyyafushi Maldives. Meeting our trade partners face to face allowed us to listen, share what makes each island distinct, and lay the groundwork for a strong season ahead. We look forward to welcoming many more Indian guests to our beautiful islands.”

Mr. Ahmed Siaar, General Manager, BEKIND, added, “The Indian market continues to play a pivotal role in our long-term growth strategy. Strengthening our partnerships with the travel trade is fundamental to expanding our presence, and initiatives such as this allow us to engage meaningfully with our partners while sharing the unique character of both Meyyafushi Maldives and Fushifaru Maldives. With improved connectivity and increasing demand for premium island experiences, we are confident of further strengthening our position among discerning Indian travellers.”

The successful three-city initiative reaffirms BEKIND’s continued investment in the Indian market and its commitment to working closely with the travel trade to drive sustainable business growth for Meyyafushi Maldives and Fushifaru Maldives. Through strategic market engagement, collaborative partnerships, and enhanced destination awareness, the company aims to further elevate the appeal of both resorts among Indian luxury and experiential travellers.
