A Parliamentary panel has joined discussions with Civil Aviation Minister Ram Mohan Naidu to accelerate airport infrastructure expansion across Bihar, with a strong focus on improving regional air connectivity and strengthening the state’s aviation network.
The discussions reportedly focused on expanding airport infrastructure, improving passenger connectivity, and supporting economic and tourism growth through enhanced aviation access across the state.
Industry experts believe improved airport infrastructure in Bihar could significantly benefit domestic tourism, business travel, regional mobility, and investment opportunities while strengthening connectivity to emerging tourism destinations within the state.
The move also aligns with the Government of India’s broader regional connectivity and aviation expansion initiatives aimed at improving accessibility to underserved destinations and supporting economic growth through air transport infrastructure.
Travel and tourism stakeholders have welcomed the development, stating that stronger connectivity could boost religious tourism, heritage tourism, eco-tourism, and local hospitality sectors across Bihar.
