CM Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu wants to turn HP into Tourist capital

Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu, the chief minister of Himachal Pradesh, stated that he intends to make his state the tourist capital of India. The Chief Minister claimed that tourism significantly increases our GST revenue. Sukhu was speaking in New Delhi at the AajTak G20 Summit.

He discussed strategies for developing Himachal Pradesh’s tourism sector, including plans to build an international airport there. The Chief Minister also discussed initiatives to decentralise the travel industry.

Sukhu began his address to a session by discussing the disaster the hilly state was currently experiencing. He said that in the past one month, Himachal Pradesh has faced two devastating incidents. In the first instance, in July, cloudbursts had led to landslides, with tourists and several vehicles left stranded due to it.
