Vietnam is looking into Visa free entry for Indian travellers

Vietnam might be the next nation to grant Indian citizens travel visas without requiring one. Vietnam’s Minister of Culture, Sports, and Tourism, has advocated for large markets such as China and India to receive short-term visa waivers to support the country’s tourism industry’s revival. As of right now, citizens of Germany, France, Sweden, Italy, Spain, Denmark, and Finland are able to enter Vietnam without a visa.

Vietnam saw almost 10 million foreign visitors in the first ten months of 2023—a 4.6-fold increase over 2022. Before the COVID-19 pandemic, Vietnam had about 1,70,000 Indian tourists arrive.

Indian tourists are drawn to places like Phu Quoc Island, Nha Trang, Da Nang, Ha Long Bay, and Hoi An. Vietnam started granting e-visas to citizens of all nations in August of this year. These e-visas allow for multiple entries and have a 90-day validity term.
