The Lanesborough and Cowdray Park Polo Club Celebrate the Polo Season with an Exclusive “Cowdray Cream Tea” Experience

The Lanesborough, one of London’s most distinguished Regency hotels, partners with Cowdray Park Polo to present the Cowdray Cream Tea, a seasonal celebration of British summertime and the elegance of the polo calendar.

Running from 2 June to 31 July 2026, the experience marks the height of the English social season and culminates with the prestigious Cowdray Gold Cup on 19 July—one of the most anticipated fixtures in the international polo calendar.

Served daily in The Lanesborough’s Withdrawing Room, the Cowdray Cream Tea presents a refined interpretation of the classic English ritual. Guests can enjoy freshly baked scones served with traditional clotted cream and seasonal preserves, accompanied by a bespoke signature cocktail: Cowdray’s Cup.

Elegant and celebratory in style, the Cowdray’s Cup is served in a classic coupé glass, its silhouette inspired by the shape of a traditional trophy cup. The cocktail blends Calvados, apple juice, rum, fresh lemon juice, sugar syrup and matcha, before being topped with Gusbourne English sparkling wine for a crisp and effervescent finish.

The Cowdray Cream Tea will be available daily from 2 June to 31 July 2026 priced at £42 per person.

Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc is delighted to introduce Frédéric Hardy as Director of the Eden-Roc and Louroc restaurants, as well as Head Sommelier of the property.

A seasoned professional with a brilliant career, Frédéric Hardy describes himself as a man of action, passionate about wine, hospitality, and prestigious establishments. Born in 1984, he grew up in Paris. Trained at the most prestigious Parisian schools, Ferrandi and CFA Médéric, Frédéric Hardy quickly revealed a true vocation for service and sommelier life. His path led him through some celebrated hotels, including Le Meurice (3 Michelin stars), Cheval Blanc Courchevel (2 Michelin stars), Le Bristol Paris, Texture in London, and La Place de Mougins. These formative experiences refined his expertise, blending technical mastery and a keen sense of excellence, and the true art of hospitality.

In 2026, he begins his second season at Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc, with the ambitious mission of bringing a fresh dynamic to the hotel’s two iconic restaurants, Eden-Roc and Louroc, while overseeing the entire sommelier service.
